The assignment: shoot a fake album cover for a real band. It would be featured on Don Johnson and Cheech Marin's cop show, Nash Bridges. The show's prop master used to call me when they needed an image that would appear on the show, either in a frame, a magazine cover, or this album cover (as in record, not CD). This was a real San Francisco based band that had a cameo and at some point in the show, Don Johnson was to hold their recent "album." It was shot on cross processed slide film - processed C41 and printed. The image was made on Treasure Island in the huge hanger that Nash Bridges was using as a sound stage. Shot with available light toward a roll up door with a Hasselblad and a 250mm f4 lens. The center guy became my logo for about 15 years.
