I always loved pushing the limits of film processing in the 90s and some editors, like Liz Reap at Runner's World really let me play. The assignment: recovering from foot pain caused by running. This image of a model on a beach in Point Reyes, CA was shot on slide film with a Hasselblad 202FA (focal plane shutter) and a 100 f2 lens (my favorite). The slide film was then process as a negative and printed by me for the magazine's cover. One of the first times that the cover did not feature a full frame of a person running.
