Mt Tamalpais Sunset - Marin County California
This image is more of a memory for me. Throughout the 90s I would bike from San Francisco over the Golden Gate Bridge and up Mt. Tam to this area on the Bolinas Ridge Road. So many of my early bicyling portfolio images were shot up here on this stretch of road. So, when my old assistant from the mid 90s, who now runs an online art platform, asked if I had an image of the hills in Marin County that they could print for a client 9 feet wide, I jumped at the chance to head up there. On a beautiful clear summer evening, I shot a series of vertical images with a 50mm lens in order to stitch them together to create a huge, detailed file for the massive 9 foot print.
