Interpretation of the Tango while in the air photographed by award-winning Robert Houser in the San Francisco Bay Area.
When I moved to the farm in the Oakland hills, I suddenly had so much space to play. A 7000 square foot corral doubles as a perfect outdoor studio set, so I went all in, buying 20'x20' silks and frames, and all the grip needed to fly silks of three different sizes. Yes, lots of sandbags, oh, and a trampoline, of course. I asked these two professional ballet dancer to interpret the idea of a tango once lofted from the trampoline. The dance is so much about the tension between two dancers. Holding together, yet also breaking away.
